Reviews of 3rd Party Language Learning Programs, Audio-Courses, Software, Apps, Books, and More.

Learning a language may seem like a daunting task. Luckily, there are multiple methods that aim to help you study fast and efficient. But not all methods are equally as good. In the list below, we list the best language learning methods by personal experience.

1. Michel Thomas - Audiocourses

Hands down #1. The Michel Thomas series allows you to learn a language without actively studying. Just relax and listen to the audio program. The program is designed to get you accustomed to the words and grammar of a language in a natural way, that mimics language learning as a child. It  truly works like magic,

Michel Thomas' work has been my inspiration in starting the Most Used Words Frequency Dictionary series, as the only drawback is the limited vocabulary.

2. PIMSLEUR - Audiocourses

The Pimsleur audio courses are based on similiar principles as the Michel Thomas'  series, but I find Pimsleur slightly more boring and less well thought out. Still, the method is very effective to get you used to the grammar, sounds and vocabulary of the language you're trying to learn.

3. ROCKET LANGUAGES - Immersion Software

Rocket Languages is a new but innovative player on the language learning market today. Their programs are high-end and make heavy use of technology like speech recognition, apps, and e-teaching.

4. FLUENZ - Immersion Software

Master the basics and gain the ability to navigate through a new country or city. Solidify your foundation and begin to acquire the tools for more serious engagement. A course comparable to Rosetta Stone, but better (according to the FLUENZ website at least.) Also heavy on tech, like speech recognition, online tutors, apps and more.
