Refund Policy — MostUsedWords App
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This Refund Policy applies to purchases made on the MostUsedWords
website (mostusedwords.com) for access to the MostUsedWords flashcard
app. It does not cover purchases made through the Apple App Store or
Google Play Store — those are governed by Apple's and Google's
own refund policies respectively.
1. Merchant of Record
All web purchases are processed by Paddle Payments Ltd
("Paddle"), who acts as the Merchant of Record for these
transactions. This means Paddle is the legal seller of record
and is responsible for payment processing, invoicing, and
handling refund and dispute requests on our behalf.
Your purchase receipt and any billing correspondence will come
from Paddle, not from MUW EDU Media & Publishing Ltd.
2. Subscription plans
Monthly subscription
You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by
contacting Paddle support. Cancellation takes effect at the end
of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the
remaining days in the current period.
Refund requests submitted within 30 days of the initial purchase
or of a renewal charge will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
To request a refund, contact Paddle directly (see Section 5).
Yearly subscription
The same cancellation terms apply. Because the full year is
charged upfront, refund requests submitted within 30 days of the
charge date will be considered. We do not issue pro-rata refunds
for unused months beyond the 30-day window.
3. Lifetime access (one-time purchase)
Lifetime access purchases are eligible for a full refund if
requested within 30 days of the purchase date, provided you
have not made substantial use of the service during that period.
After 30 days, lifetime purchases are non-refundable.
4. What counts as substantial use
We consider an account to have been substantially used if it has
completed more than 50 flashcard review sessions after purchase.
If you have exceeded this threshold, a refund may be declined even
within the 30-day window.
5. How to request a refund
Paddle handles all refund requests directly. To request a refund:
a) Visit: paddle.com/support
b) Select "I have a billing or payment question"
c) Provide your order ID (found in your Paddle receipt email)
Alternatively, you can email Paddle at: support@paddle.com
Please include your order ID and the email address used at
checkout. Paddle typically processes refund requests within
3–5 business days.
You may also reach us at info@muw-edu.com if you need help
locating your order details or have a question before contacting
Paddle. We cannot process refunds directly but can assist with
the process.
6. EU / EEA consumers — right of withdrawal
If you are located in the European Union or European Economic
Area, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the
date of purchase under Directive 2011/83/EU.
By starting to use the MostUsedWords App immediately after
purchase, you expressly request that the service begins before
the withdrawal period expires. You acknowledge that this means
you lose your right of withdrawal once you have made full use
of a digital service, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the
Directive.
If you have not yet accessed the app after purchase, your full
14-day right of withdrawal remains intact.
7. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or card issuer
instead of requesting a refund through Paddle, your account
may be suspended pending resolution. We encourage you to
contact Paddle first — chargebacks are a last resort and
can result in longer resolution times.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The
"Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most
recent revision. Continued use of the App after a policy change
constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
